Robust H∞ Fuzzy Dynamic Output Feedback Control for Fuzzy Descriptor Systems

The problem of robust H∞ fuzzy state feedback and dynamic output feedback control for uncertain fuzzy descriptor systems is discussed. In the case that time-varying uncertainties are in all parameter matrices except E, sufficient conditions for the existence of fuzzy state feedback and dynamic output feedback robust H∞ controllers are given in terms of LMI. The fuzzy state feedback control law can be constructed directly based on the solution of LMI. Fuzzy dynamic output feedback control law can be obtained by defining new variables. The robust H∞ control laws guarantee that the closed-loop system is admissible as well as satisfying a prescribed norm bounded constraint for all admissible uncertainties. A numerical example is presented to show the design procedure of the fuzzy dynamic output feedback controller. Copyright©2002 IFAC
